<p>Nach der Yamaha  XT 600 Tenere 34 L,  ist die KTM 640 Adventure eine richtig gute Reiseenduro. Immer noch sehr leicht, ca. 180kg vollgetankt, im Verhältnis zu anderen sogenannten Reiseenduros. Kick-und E-Starter, 28 Ltr. Tank, Reichweite ca. 500 km. Super Fahrwerk, 55 PS.</p>
<p>Leider hatte ich Pech mit meiner ersten KTM. Ein Kurbelwellenlagerschaden machte ihr den Garaus.</p>
<p>Bei meiner zweiten 640er waren einige Dinge weiterentwickelt worden. Es gab keinen lästigen Ölpeilstab mehr, sondern ein Schauglas und das Cockpit war haltbarer. Beim Vorgänger ging das Display nicht mehr richtig.
